Harrell’s LLC announced the appointment of Jack Harrell III as its new CEO and chairman of the board effective August 15. He succeeds his father, Jack Harrell Jr., who recently passed away.
Harrell has more than 15 years of experience at the company, most recently serving as COO and president. “It is an honor to take on this new leadership role. To be the 4th generation Harrell to lead this company means a great deal to me,” Harrell said. “Following in the footsteps of my great-grandfather, grandfather, and father is a tall task and one I do not take lightly. It is impossible to replace my father, but I will work every day to honor the legacy and culture he created by doing all the things he taught me and instilled in me.
“I look forward to continuing to work with our vice chairman, Dave Schermerhorn, as my father did for the last 20 years. It is an incredible honor to get to lead this great team at Harrell’s.”
Harrell’s, based in Lakeland, Florida, is an employee-owned company and the country’s largest distributor of branded fungicides, herbicides and insecticides.
