The group Oregonians for Food and Shelter (OFS) will hold their first-ever Annual Conference and Gala starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, November 2 at the Salem Convention Center, 200 Commercial St. S.E., Salem, Oregon.
The conference promises an opportunity to learn about the future of pesticides and biotechnology from OFS’ national partners, and dive into local issues and political updates as well.
The day will begin with coffee and networking, followed by various educational sessions throughout the day, and concluding with a “fields and forests” gala dinner. Guest speakers will include Gene Harrington of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization; Dr. Andony Melthopoulos of Oregon State University, Anthony LaFauce of Clyde Group, and Julie Savoie of CropLife America.
OFS is a non-profit coalition including agriculture, forestry, and urban pest managers promoting the efficient production of quality food and fiber while protecting human health, personal property, and the environment, through the integrated, responsible use of pest management products, soil nutrients, and biotechnology.
