Longtime OAN member, Anderson Die and Manufacturing announced record company sales in 2014, increasing an impressive 38 percent over 2013. Demand for Anderson’s line of quality containers has surged as the Oregon nursery industry continues to strengthen. Over the past four years, the company’s annual sales have tripled.
To capitalize on this growth, the company has announced four new Polycan™ nursery containers designed specifically for Northwest nurseries. For 2015, a redesigned #1 Deep container, a new tag slot #2 Deep, a new #10 Squat, and a new #15 Squat are all in production and available now. In addition, bulk pallets of a new design 6” recessed drainage greenhouse container in both the 6” Deep and 4½” Deep sizes will come online in 2015.
Anderson Die and Manufacturing was founded by George Anderson on Macadam Avenue in southwest Portland, Oregon, in 1954. Originally the firm was a custom die-maker and the manufacturer of various injection molded plastic products. The first Anderson nursery container — a 2-inch square pot with drainage holes— hit the market in 1957.
