Brendan Driscoll has been appointed as general counsel of Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, according to a release from the company. He replaces Jim Baumgartner, who is retiring.
Driscoll will serve on the company’s executive management team to lead the company’s internal legal team and the global network of outside counsel. In addition, he will design Fall Creek’s commercialization models, licensing of proprietary genetics, expansion initiatives, and business development support.
Joining the company with 10 years of prior experience, Driscoll most recently served as senior counsel for Ardent Mills, the largest flour milling business in the nation. He also served as an associate general counsel for KIND Snacks and assistant general counsel and director of venues for Tough Mudder. Driscoll began his career as an associate with White 7 Case LLP law firm. He has a law degree from Fordham University of Law; a master’s degree in social science from the University of Chicago; a master’s degree in rhetoric and composition from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh; and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Delaware.
“Brendan and our legal team will continue to protect and ensure compliance with patented varieties, safeguarding the competitive advantage these blueberry genetics provide to our customers,” co-CEO Oscar Verges said. “His experience with other large international organizations makes him a good fit for Fall Creek and we welcome his strategic insights to better serve our grower customers.”
