Fall Creek promotes Dave Daniel to general manager for U.S. and Canada

By Peter Szymczak — Posted February 20, 2023

Dave Daniel

Fall Creek Farm & Nursery Inc. announced the promotion of Dave Daniel to general manager for Fall Creek’s United States and Canada business. Previously, he was the blueberry breeding and nursery company’s U.S. operations manager. In his new role, Daniel will manage and develop the U.S. regional team. Daniel is based in Lowell, Oregon.

“Dave brings valuable expertise and experience in the industry and within the company to this position,” said Alberto Medina-Mora, regional director for the U.S., Canada and Mexico. “He will lead the team with a focus on enhancing internal partnerships for customer success and play an important leadership role as the U.S. region continues to expand and diversify.”

In 2012, Daniel and his wife sold their Pleasant Hill Nursery in Pleasant Hill, Oregon, to Fall Creek, and he joined the company as farm manager in Oregon. In 2014, he was promoted to production manager, overseeing plant production and crop health at all of Fall Creek’s Oregon facilities. He was promoted again in 2019 to operations manager.

“As a long-time Oregon nursery owner before joining Fall Creek as an employee, I admired the Brazeltons and Vollstedts and their extremely high nursery quality standards,” Daniel said. “After a decade with the company, I know firsthand the commitment to and investments made in ensuring high plant health and quality, the finest blueberry genetics, and well-trained and knowledgeable employees. Now, as general manager of Fall Creek’s U.S. and Canada operations, I look forward to collaborating with our incredible team to find ways to continually increase the value we deliver to our customers.”

Fall Creek Farm & Nursery Inc. is the leading provider of genetic solutions to the blueberry industry with research and development centers across all chills levels and nursery operations in the U.S., Chile, Mexico, Peru, Spain, The Netherlands and South Africa. Fall Creek breeds and delivers blueberry varieties, nursery stock and grower support to commercial fruit growers throughout the world.
