A free workshop, “Combining Effective IPM and Pesticide Risk Management in Nurseries,” will be held from 9 a.m.–noon Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at Boring-Damascus Grange, 27861 S.E. Grange St., Boring, Oregon. The topics covered will include:
- Clackamas River Basin water monitoring update and compounds of concern
- Uses of pesticides of concern and available IPM alternatives
- Pesticide management checklists for decision-making and mitigating risk
Those attending will be eligible for three credit hours towards pesticide license recertification. The doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and folks are encouraged to come early for coffee and networking. Registration is recommended. Call 503-210-6000 or email [email protected] to RSVP.
The event is being presented by IPPC Lab, Oregon State University, the Oregon Environmental Council, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation District, Clackamas River Basin Council, Clackamas River Water Providers and the Oregon Department of Water Quality.
