McHutchison and Vaughan’s hire sales representatives

By Bill Goloski — Posted March 22, 2021

Allison Pennell has been hired as a sales representative for McHutchison in Oregon. She joins the company with several years of industry experience and has certified expertise in the horticulture field. Pennell was most recently a writer for Everbearing Services’ horticulture accounts, as well as a contributing garden writer for Plant Something Oregon. She previously served as the development director for the Oregon Garden Foundation and as an event and program coordinator for the Oregon Association of Nurseries — which produces the Farwest Show. A certified professional horticulturalist of the Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association, Pennell earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Oregon State University and holds an associate of arts from Linn-Benton Community College.

Lauren Hill has been appointed to Vaughan’s Horiticulture as a sales representative for North Carolina. Hill was previously a consumer- and commercial-facing agent for the Cooperative Extension of North Carolina State University. She was also a horticulturalist for Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, North Carolina, as well as the Historic Columbia in Columbia, South Carolina. She earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental horticulture from Clemson University, and completed and internship at Regina Coronado at Stacy’s Greenhouses (now Metrolina Greenhouses) in North Carolina.
