At the 2018 Farwest Show, August 22-24, in Portland, Oregon, renowned garden designer Darcy Daniels will share her method for finding the perfect plants for a given space in today’s gardens. Her talk, “Plants with Purpose: How to Pick Plants that Get the Job Done, Beautifully”, will be delivered Thursday, August 23, 12:30 p.m.–1:30 p.m., in Room 110, at the Oregon Convention Center.

Daniels is the creator of eGardenGo and garden designer with Bloomtown® Gardens. eGardenGo is a website that helps gardeners create gardens that are beautiful and functional. She is well known for her rich, textual plantings and creative use of small spaces. In her session, Daniels will stress that in addition to providing beauty and enjoyment, plants are often called on to divide space, cover the ground, provide shade, or screen an unsightly view. She will walk through a method of assessing a garden’s unique situation and identifying the plants that will do the job at hand.
