Yesterday we warned you about the coming Canadian cold air blast that’s likely to hit Oregon and Washington late Friday. Here’s the latest from the (Portland) Oregonian:
The snow portion of the forecast comes with a big if, but not the falling thermometer readings. “If the models are correct, this will be a true Arctic air intrusion,” said Charles Dalton, a forecaster for the National Weather Service in Portland. The best chance for snow will come Saturday night or Sunday, he said. But the first wave of cold air will arrive late Friday. That first front will “usher in the cold air,” Dalton said. But the chilliest air is likely to be felt later in the weekend.
We’ll keep you posted as things develop.
