- Check in daily with the grower for instructions, report problems and challenges, and propose solutions.
- Make daily adjustments to equipment, including but not limited to, irrigation controllers and injector systems.
- Constantly monitor the water conditions of the plants and make adjustments as necessary.
- Monitor the pH and EC/PPM of fertigation systems daily, reporting any inconsistencies to the grower.
- Monitor fertilizer levels in the stock tank and adjust them throughout the year as instructed by the grower.
- Control weeds through mechanical means, spraying, or spreading granular herbicides.
- Document all chemical applications and keep a digital record of all chemicals and fertilizers used during the year.
- Monitor liverwort, moss, algae, and weed growth in the facility, and report the proposed action plan to the grower.
- Conduct routine checks of the fertigation system and promptly report issues to the grower.
- Maintain responsibility for the organization of the fertigation room.
- Calibrate inline monitoring equipment monthly and conduct yearly inspections of the fertilizer injector systems.
- Participate as part of the pesticide application crew as needed.
- Conduct parts and supply runs as needed using the company vehicle.
- Utilize UTVs as needed.
- Complete all required safety training; know and follow safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment, correct operation of tools and machinery, proper handling of hazardous materials, and reporting near misses and unsafe conditions or activities to company leadership.
Qualifications:
