McHutchison and Vaughan’s Horticulture appoints new leadership, sales team

McHutchison and Vaughan’s Horticulture have made a series of organizational changes to their leadership roles.

Nathan Lamkey has been promoted to president of both McHutchison and Vaughan’s Horticulture. He previously served as vice president of sales and marketing for McHutchison since 2017, and has 20 years of industry experience from TERRA NOVA Nurseries, Inc., Shemin Landscape Supply, Ball Horticultural Company and PanAmerican Seed. He will be based out of the Naperville, Illinois.

Mike Pezzillo has been appointed to the position of vice president of the nursery division of McHutchison. He has worked for the company since 1994 in various roles including regional nursery manager, national nursery manager and vice president of operations prior to his current role. He will be stationed at its New Jersey office.

Amy Edmeier will serve as director of operations for the plant divisions for both companies. She has been at Vaughan’s since 2013. She has 17 years’ experience from working at Syngenta and SHS Griffin Greenhouse Supplies before joining the company.

Debbie Rempert has been hired as senior brand manager. She was previously an account executive and marketing manager for Ball Horticultural and many of its companies including Ball Seed, PanAmerican Seed, Ball FloraPlant, Selecta One, Darwin Perennials and others for nearly twenty years.

Mandie Hoidas will be a customer service manager for the companies. She has 12 years of industry experience from working at Selecta and Ball Horticultural Company.

Pamela Straub will be a vendor program manager for McHutchison and Vaughan’s Horticulture. She previously served as a customer service manager and account executive for Emerald Coast.

With the exception of Pezzillo, all employees mentioned above will work from the Naperville, Illinois office.

Six other people have been brought onto the sales team.

Melissa Main will be a sales representative based in Washington State. Tim Meyers will work from Texas as a sales representative. David Nuckolls will focus on western Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas as sales representative. Jim Spisak is the newest sales team member, focusing on the Midwest. All will specialize in McHutchison products.

Brent Boardman is a new sales representative who will focus on West coast customers. Joe Rawley will focus on Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Both will focus on Vaughan’s Horticulture clients.
