“Welcome to Nursery Country!” This special January issue of Digger, formerly known as the State of Perfection issue, has been showcasing outstanding Oregon nurseries for six years now. Five nurseries are featured in this year’s edition. We also filmed a short video at each nursery.

Yesterday’s video featured Keith Warren, new products director at J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co., who talked about the company’s process of breeding and selecting superior trees. Today, it’s Hochstein Nursery. Owner Ron Hochstein says a few words about the container and B&B nursery, which offers a variety of trees, shrubs, grasses and plants that are grown on two farms near Cornelius, Ore. Enjoy!
