Nursery Tour #1: TSW Nursery Sales (Part 4 of 4)

By Curt Kipp — Posted August 21, 2013

TSW is a grower and broker of quality nursery stock that works with over 250 growers in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California. They stock an abundant variety of material, everything from 4-inch liners to 4-inch caliper shade trees to 20-foot conifers. They hand-select all the plant material that they ship.

TSW has been in business for 25 years and has a strong retail focus. Todd Williams, president of TSW, stated that “Numbers are up about 20%. It’s nice to spread good news.” Williams lead us on a tour of the plant material blocks and even demonstrated how they handle larger material.

After the tour, attendees enjoyed refreshments and mingled. Richard and Kara Beaumont, wholesale growers visiting from New Zealand, and first-time Farwest Trade Show attendees, chatted with Williams about the growing regions and seasons. Once they converted Celsius to Fahrenheit, they determined that both hemispheres have been warmer than usual this past year, resulting in fast and bountiful plant growth.
