With the two-and-a-half-week government shutdown ending last night, and government employees reporting back to work this morning, what’s next? According to President Obama, stalled efforts to pass a new Farm Bill and comprehensive immigration reform should be two of the main priorities when Democrats and Republicans sit down in the coming weeks to hash out their differences. Both issues had been denied much-needed attention (and oxygen) due to the debt limit crisis.
