If you are a nursery grower and you depend on new home construction for a big chunk of your market, you might want to cover your eyes for this next one. Then again, you probably don’t need to, because you know what we’re about to say. In all-too-familiar news, the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) released its September figures, and … here it comes … those figures continue to indicate an exceptionally depressed market. There’s a shortage of qualified buyers. Many of those who are qualified and willing to buy can’t sell their current homes, and on top of that, there are plenty of foreclosures on the market competing with new housing stock.
