By Curt Kipp — Posted August 10, 2018

Farwest Show 2018 logoThe 2018 Farwest Show, August 22–24 in Portland, Oregon, will offer attendees and exhibitors a great mix of fun and networking with two after-hours events this year.

Farwest Happy Hour, sponsored by Anderson Pots, will take place at the close of the show’s first day, from 5–7 p.m. Wednesday, August 22 in Lobby A in the Oregon Convention Center. Attendance is free to all Farwest participants. Beer and wine will be served from a no-host bar. Free appetizers will be provided. Exhibitor booth awards, including the Ted Van Veen Best of Show winner, will be presented during the event.

The ever-popular Pub Crawl, sponsored by Leonard Adams Insurance, takes place on Thursday, August 23 with three stops, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the White Owl Social Club, 1305 SE 8th Ave., Portland. The first 50 people to the White Owl will receive a free beverage. Light appetizers will be provided. The second stop takes place at Pips & Bounce, 833 SE Belmont St., at 7 p.m. The last stop on the crawl will be the Loyal Legion Pub, 710 SE 6th Ave., at 8:30 p.m.

The Farwest Show’s official “beer sherpas” will depart between 5:15–5:30 p.m. from the show office (Room C120, Oregon Convention Center), to guide participants to the White Owl Social Club via the Portland Streetcar local transit. The Pub Crawl is open and free to all Farwest participants.
