Space limited for boxwood blight workshop on October 20

Five organizations are collaborating on a boxwood health workshop for growers set for 8:30 a.m.–noon Thursday, October 20 at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center, 15210 N.E. Miley Road, Aurora, Oregon. Registration is now open and is limited to 40 people; those interested can sign up online. There is a $15 cost.

Nursery professionals connect at Farwest

The 2022 Farwest Show, held August 24–26 in Portland, Oregon, helped nursery professionals connect with each other, whether as exhibitors or attendees. “This year’s Farwest Show was upbeat,” said Allan Niemi, events director for the Oregon Association of Nurseries, which produces the show. “People told us they had positive conversations on the floor, met new people, learned at the seminars and had a good time.”

Hopper Bros. booth snares top prize at Farwest

Terra Nova Nurseries promotes Harini Korlipara to general manager

Harini Korlipara has been appointed as the new general manager of Terra Nova Nurseries Inc., a plant breeding and genetics firm based in Canby, Oregon. She has been with the company since 1999, serving most recently as the company’s lab manager and research director.

OBC Northwest grows sales team with three additions
