“It’s a Great Time to be in Business,” a free webinar developed by green industry consultant Jim Paluch and his firm, JP Horizons, will take place from 10-11 a.m. (Pacific Time) Thursday, Dec. 18. It will include a series of presentations with an overall theme of how to thrive in any economy. Subject areas covered will include planning for the future, dealing with customers, developing employees, working with financials and showing tenacity in tough times. The scheduled presenters will include Brickman president Mark Hjelle, Christmas Decor president and founder Blake Smith, High Grove Partners president Jim McCutcheon, Stephen Hillenmeyer of Stephen Hillenmeyer Landscape Servics, BTN Nurseries owner/founder Paul Olsen and Jim Paluch, president of JP Horizons. Organizers are hoping that up to 1,000 companies, representing more than 40 green industry trade associations, will participate in making it one of the largest webinars ever. Those interested in attending must register online in advance. Space is limited to the first 1,000 companies that sign up.
